NBPNP - NEW BRUNSWICK PROVINCIAL NOMINEE PROGRAM
NBPNP Skilled Worker program is an economic program, designed for qualified skilled workers from around the world who will live in New Brunswick and contribute to the local economy. There are two categories under NBPNP Skilled Worker stream:
- Skilled Worker with Family Support
- Skilled Worker with Employer Support
Applications are assessed based on eligibility requirements and selection factors. Each applicant must meet eligibility requirements. Priority will be given to Applicants who have the greatest potential to become economically established in New Brunswick.

1. NBPNP - SKILLED WORKER WITH FAMILY SUPPORT STREAM
As a Skilled Worker Applicant with family support:
- You are a close relative of the Family Supporter
- You are between 22 and 50 years of age
- You have sufficient English and/or French language proficiency
- You have the education, qualifications and, or licenses needed to settle in New Brunswick
- You will live and work in New Brunswick.
- You have at least two years of continuous full-time work experience
- Your job is under one of the National Occupation Classification (NOC) skill levels 0,A,B,C,D
- You have the funds to settle in New Brunswick.
As the Supporter of the Skilled Worker Applicant:
- You are a close relative of the Family Supporter
- You are a Canadian citizen or permanent resident of Canada
- You have been operating a business in New Brunswick for at least 12 consecutive months
- Your job is under one of the National Occupation Classification (NOC) skill levels 0,A,B,C
- You are financially self-supporting
- You will participate in an interview with an official from the Population Growth Division
- You will assist the Applicant with a Settlement Plan
- You will support only one applicant at a time
2. NBPNP - SKILLED WORKER WITH EMPLOYER SUPPORT STREAM
- Your job is under one of the National Occupation Classification (NOC) skill levels 0,A,B,C,D
- Your job is in an area of skill shortage
- Your job must provide a comparable industry rate of pay
- Your job complies with New Brunswick employment standards
- You will submit all required forms and supporting documents
- You score a minimum of 50 points in the selection factors
- You are between 22 and 55 years of age
- You have sufficient English and, or French language ability to fulfill your job duties
- You have the education, qualifications and, or licenses needed to fulfill your job duties
- You will live and work in New Brunswick
- Your offer of employment is genuine
- You are a permanent full-time employee of a New Brunswick Company
NBPNP - SKILLED WORKER WITH EMPLOYER SUPPORT SELECTION FACTORS
1. AGE
You must be between the ages of 22 and 55. Your age is considered as of the day you are assigned an application number at the NBPNP office. You may score up to total 10 points.
2. LANGUAGE
Scoring is based on your ability to speak, read and write English and/or French. You must show that you can speak, read and write either English or French, or both, at a basic level, if not you will be refused. You may score up to total 15 points.
3. EDUCATION
According to your education level you may score up to 18 points.
4. ADABTABILITY
You must demonstrate your genuine intention to settle in New Brunswick. You may score up to total 25 points.
5. WORK EXPERIENCE
You will be score based on the number of years you have worked in your intended occupation during the last five years. You may score up to 10 points.
